Back in the days when my friends and I would walk several miles to the local post office, we would pass a huge mango tree right at the corner of a dangerous road. No low hanging mangoes were ever attainable from the ground, unless you used a stone to hit one of the mangoes from the tree or wait until they voluntarily fall to the ground.
This type of mango is also not widely known, and therefore given the name “Round Mango”.
On my last visit, I was fortunate enough to get one of these mangoes that fell to the ground.
Though I didn’t get much more than a single bite, the memory and reality at that moment was well worth it.
